Auto Brightness Tweaking?

I recently installed Liberty 2.0.1 on my DX and am loving it. However, I have always hated the fact that I can't tweak auto-brightness. It's a great concept but it needs some tweaking interface so I can make it's darkest settings even darker. I still want it to get super bright in sunlight so I don't want to lose that.

Anyway, I can't seem to find any apps that allow this. Has anyone written a hack that I can implement in Liberty? Better yet, does anyone know if this functionality will ever be built into Liberty? It appears to be integrated into Cyanogen mod but that isn't available for the Droid X.

Thanks!

hrm, I never even thought of that. I, too, would love this feature. I use the DX a lot at night and every night I have to bump down from auto to 0%. During the daytime, auto is just fine. It's a minor nuisance having to tap the button on the widgetsoid panel.
