Auto Muting

For some reason when i talk to people, my phone seems to put itself on Mute automatically and i dont notice till the person im talking to realizes he/she doesnt hear me. Every time I have to unsleep my phone and unlock it and go back to call in progress screen.

I tried putting the screen timeout on 30 minutes but that doesnt work.

Any suggestions or help please?

I had this same problem "maybe"
I found out I was touching the mute button with my face when the screen would light up so I would suggest setting the screen to its lowest setting and hold phone closer to your face when you talk so as not to activate the screen.....
