"availalbe updates" message

On my Razr home screen at the top, when I pull down the bar it says "xx available updates for (my gmail address). How do I find these "updates" on the phone in order to take appropriate action?

Sounds like market updates. Either pull down the notification bar and hit the updates. Or go to the market, hit the menu button then my apps and you should see them there.
