Just got my Droid yesterday, and its awesome! I graduated from a G'zone Boulder. I am a lover of technology and having had an iTouch for a year I really wanted an iPhone. At first I thought I was compromising by getting a Droid, but after some research I realized the Droid was equall in most qualities and superior in some. The only thing I will miss is iTunes(say what you want I love iTunes, I just wish I could export my songs). In short, I lOVE my Droid, and I wouldn't Trade it for any other phone, not even an iPhone.

Welcome to the neighborhood, T0M5! Glad to have you here! You'll find this forum to be full of very friendly, helpful folks. I must warn you, however, that both the Droid and this forum are very addictive, as you'll soon learn.... So come on in and make yourself at home! If you get stuck, just post a question and someone will be along to help you out.

And guess what? You can import your iTunes music to the Droid! Hope you enjoy that new toy of yours!

How to sync iTunes with your Droid:

Full synchronization requires a 3rd party application which has Windows and Mac support.
1. Download and install doubleTwist.
2. Connect the device to the computer with the USB cable
3. From the Droid home screen, pull down the Notification bar, located at the top of the screen (or you can also press the Menu Key on the front of your Droid and then select Notifications)
4. Select USB Connected
5. Select Mount
6. Launch doubleTwist (it will launch automatically in Windows).
7. Set up your sync settings or just drag and drop media to your Droid.
8. doubleTwist will automatically convert your videos so that they play on your Droid.

If some of your iTunes music is not recognized by the Droid:

Welcome!

I'm a former iPhone user and I have all of my songs currently residing in my iTunes on my Droid. I'm a Mac user and I mounted my Droid, created a "music" fonder on my SD card then clicked and dragged each album into the music folder.

Hope that helps

Mike
