Have had this problem for a while now on my droid. Have had many different ROMs (2.2, 2.3, etc.) and have TERRIBLE, blurry camera quality. I remember I had it once on Bugless, flashed CM and it was normal but now it is completely awful on any ROM and I can't stand it, ideas?

Try stock. If the issue persists then it's the hardware.

There an easy way to do so without unrooting the phone and going through the process? My buddy is running same CM version right now and we put them side by side and his, fine and mine real real fuzzy and dark.

You could make a nandroid then flash a stock, rooted ROM, an OTA update file and unroot, or SBF back to stock. I'd recommend nandroid then SBF, depending on how scientific you wanted to be; you can always reroot and restore your nandroid easily enough. Stock, rooted ROM wouldn't cost you recovery, though, and would suffice.
