Backlights for soft keys flash like crazy!

I've noticed that since I got the new update the lights for the soft keys will flash on and off randomly! I noticed it was happening a lot lately when I opened the app drawer. I thought this update was supposed to make the lights stay on longer not make them flash like a strobe light! Anyone having the same issues? Any solutions out there?

Is it possible you have an led alert activated that makes them flash?
