backup

Are you talking about backing up your media?

You can back that up very easily. Plug into your computer via USB. Mount as a disk.
Cope all your files over from your phone to the computer.

How do I backup my Incredible to my desktop in case I lose my phone?

Your Incredible is a google phone. Google backs up your contacts and your apps. You don't need to do it on your computer. Contacts are backed up in Gmail, applications in the Market.

VERIZON BACKS UP YOUR CONTACTS AS WELL

but you knew that, too

Really? News to me, want to tell me how that works?

Verizon would back up your contacts on prior phones with the "my backup" that they have but I don't know any way that they back up your contacts with the Incredible.

VIA the Verizon "backup assistant"

brings em from phone to website. Then you can update from there.

Thas how they got my contacts/phone #s into it

Yes. But you no longer have that with your phone. That was with your old phone.

Verizon doesn't back up contacts on Google phones. Backup assistant works with most Verizon phones, but not with a Google phone.

I got my DI 5 days ago, and used the Backup Assistant from Verizon to get my contacts from my old phone to the DI. And I created my Gmail account at the same time, 5 days ago...

However, I have logged into my Gmail account many times and 'do not' see any of my contacts there at all. So, how is Google backing up my contacts exactly?

I had the same question. I see that calender events have sync with google but i dont see my contacts when i log into google

I dont see a backup program on the phone. How are most people backing up their phones? Ive already entered a lot of data on the phone (memo's, ect) that are not stored on the SD card.

Thanks.
