BAD NEED HELP text msgs are being all weird HELP!

ok so this morning i woke up and saw that i got a text from a girl that i met a couple of nights ago, she apearently had been trying to get my num for a while. anyway, when i went to the messages place it didnt show up. then i got texted from my friend and his message didnt show up. its like the phone recieved it but didnt put it into the thread or that person or start a new thread it just disapeared. if you can help me fix this prob i will love you, if you can help me fix the prob and get the old messages back from that girl i will love you LOOOONG TIIIIME!!

take out the battery leave battery out hold power button for like 15 seconds put battery back in and check if it works, if not then go to application management and force close/reset defaults for messaging applications

or you can try to check settings to retrieve messages
