My phone was running very hot and tore through my battery in 12 hours when it usually takes 20 - 30 hours.
I was wondering why and then found this.
I installed the SMB module last night to try streaming video off my home server. I have since left my home wireless yet it's still searching for the smb share and eating battery quickly.
This app works correctly on my incredible so it's just a new Droid X thing. I emailed the author..
