Battery Cover Issues

Remember Verizon was giving out those free battery covers? Well i finally found a chance to use it. My old one fell off and was nowhere to be found. Happily i remembered i ordered 5 battery covers (thinking ahead ) and put it on. However, there is a tiny mound that it creates and it isn't as flat as the original one. Thinking it was defective i tried another, and it too had that hump.

Is this a new, sturdier design? Or did i get 2 defective covers?

My droid cover is the same way. It fits perfect with the battery out, but fits very snug with the battery in and raised on one end. It appears that maybe the magnet was an after thought....I'm sure with the magnet removed it would fit perfectly.

Well you have five, so try the other three?

It's because they added a thicker pad and it's humping out making the hooks hold firmer. The pad will fold and it will settle.
