Battery Died, but now when I plug into wall, it wont cut on

Hi, my battery died, and when I tried to charge it in the wall, only a
icon of the :greendroid: guy, with the yield yellow symbol with a "!" mark shows next to him.

Nothing else happens. I cant get the phone to cut on. even when I unplug it. the same :greendroid: and yellow "!" yield symbol shows.

Whats wrong?

Leave it plugged in, hit the search button-magnifying glass, then use the volume keys to select reboot system, then hit the camera button.
