Battery life and radio

I always had bad battery life at work, no 4G towers nearby, so I would turn off 4g while at work. Now there's
a new tower just down the street, I have great 4g, and battery life is still horrible. I notice phone signal is at
96, it's usually bad here, whereas it's 78-82 when at home, with great battery life. So is my problem that there's
bad phone signal here (?) and would going back to disabling 4g help? Thanks.

4G is always a battery hog. My bionic barely lasts a day in 4G. 3g lasts about 2-3 days. I have ics 232 now and don't see where I can switch it from 4G to 3g.

I use "LTE on/off" from the market on stock, maybe it would work on ICS (?)

I used 4G toggle app before ics and it was just a shortcut to mobile networks in the settings menu. Doubt the other app would work since you don't have the option to switch from LTE and cdma
