Okay so in the beginning the battery for my razr was fine. It was incredible but it lasted me a day or more.
But now its crap. I have to charge it like twice a day.
I wish i knew the razr maxx was coming out.
Since I'm always traveling it's a pain in the ass when it dies and i have to find an outlet.
But now I bought a portable battery. new Trent imp5000

Have you downloaded any new apps lately with out reading some reviews? Some apps can run rouge an constantly be running in the background killing your battery. If not, try playing with your smart actions abit or do a few cycles of letting your battery dieing all the way an then letting it charge to 100 again.

Im in the same boat as you. I recently got my razr and havent been super impressed with the battery life. been trying out new things and tweaking things to see if i can get more than 7 hours!

You will not be impressed with the battery. The Razr and the Droid 4 batteries have an average charge life of 6-10 hours with only limited/moderate use. I had the Droid 4 and returned it for that reason soley. I now have the Razr Maxx and go 2 days with moderate/heavy use before charging. I have not changed apps or the way i use the phone between the Maxx and the D4 at all. I have FB running all the time, text and call like mad, stream Pandora a couple hours a day, youtube ect...Currently I have been off the charger for 27 hours and have 50% left battery.

I suggest buying the Maxx outright and selling your Razr to offset the cost. Just my opinion

I also started with the RAZR and only got 4-5 hours out of the battery. The quickly went to the RAZR MAXX, Which made me a happy boy. I'm a heavy user and the battery is lasting 18 hours plus.

Depending what apps are on your phone, or what your phone settings are can and will kill the battery. If you don't need 4G, don't use it, use 3G or Wi-Fi, use Smart Actions as well. :)

I wish i could sell my razr for a price where it would be easy for me to buy the maxx but they wouldn't go for that much.
I love the phone but the battery is the only thing thing that's starting to piss me off.
I have the smart actions set and I have the auto end on the task manager end most of the apps.
I'm not complaining but the way they released the razr maxx right after the razr, that's kinda messed up on Motorola's part.
