Battery Life

I charged my droid last night. Almost immediately the battery indicator was not fully green. When I went to sleep it was down to about half. I woke up this morning and it was completely dead. Has anyone had problems with their battery like this? I can't imagine that's normal..not even using the phone and the battery draining completely.

I've heard this issue somewhere else on the forum.....Do you have the antivirus app installed?

Edit:

Anyways since I'm short on time before I change classes what I would do is this: If you have the antivirus app installed, uninstall it. It really shouldn't be needed and genereally causes problems. So uninstall it and see how it works after that.

The battery status will tell you what is sucking up all your resources. Do you have a lot of widgets installed? Also, do you get good coverage. Constantly searching for a signal kills the battery very quickly. Discovered that in an AC casino one night.

Thanks

Thanks for the tip. I do have the antivirus app installed. I'll remove it.

Hypnotic: You were exactly right. My battery is lasting much much longer now that I removed the antivirus app. I guess it must have been running in the background and constantly watching for viruses like a regular antivirus program does on a computer.
