Battery question

How hot should my battery be with let's say playn games for a bit and general usage. How hot is to hot and is there any way to keep it cool if so. O and I'm unrooted

If its the top back of the phone, its the processor and not the battery. It ok that it get hot just not for a long time

I have a battery queation as well. I literally woke up a few minutes ago. I just took my phone off the charger and already my phone is at 90%. My phone was completely charged. I am using an extended battery which I bought from Verizon. In addition to that my phone will freeze and randomly reboot? Could I have a bad battery or could this be something else? Thanks in advance for your help.

P.S. I just finished typing my question and I am at 80%

You've got a runaway app or process that's eating your battery. Go into the battery manager and tell us what your top 5 battery users are. Are you using an antivirus or task manager? Uninstall it.

Top five under battery stats:
Display 46%
Android 10%
Phone idle 8%
Cell standby 7%
Text messaging 6%

My display is set on automatic brightness with no live wallpapers

someone wise once told me that ur battery can get up 130 degrees before it starts to do damage to the phone i dont like mine to get over 105 but thats just me so dont go over 130! but i doubt ur phone will get that hot playing games

I stopped using the automatic brightness setting and that seems to help. I will continue monitoring it. Thanks again!

I heard 120+ is dangerous. My phone has went as high as 114 before, but that was months ago. Now it peaks at about 105 at most.

I think automatic brightness was killing my battery. I took my phone of the charger early this morning and I've bee running a live wallpaper all day and I am at 70%!
