Battery saving

This may have been posted somewhere, but I figured I would share. My battery life has been much better by turning off location services. Still running stock 4.0.2, at two and a half hours with moderate use I have 90% battery remaining.

ehh it shouldnt matter depending on the apps that require it. Say you are constantly on facebook or something that wants to know your location, then yes, turning it off will help. but i only have a few apps that need the location so it wouldn't help me much.

and just saying 90% after 2.5 hours really doesn't give anyone something to compare it to.

Just trying to help everyone out here.

I know it is not a good comparison but beforehand I would be a 60%. My battery life is much better, at least 2 to 3 times better.

Turning off NFC seemed to help me. I have my screen brightness set to 11% too. I got over 8 hours today with an extended battery (its 3rd full cycle too). I put the phone on 3g unless I was surfing the web or downloading something.

This seems comparable to a day with my X2, but its still early. I'm hoping the next ota update helps even more.

Other than battery life I love this phone :)

I use weather services and too many Google searches to cripple that part of my phone. To me that's like cutting 3 cylinders out on a Ferrari to get better gas mileage.
