Beginners Question on How Forum works

When some kind person replies to a question of mine and I wish to send them a message or email direct rather that posting a reply on the Forum page, How do I do it?

Also at the bottom of this page there is something about Trackbacks, what are these?

Trackbacks is something someone else will have to explain, I got a headache when reading the explanation that is available. But to send a Private Message, you can click on the person's name, and follow the prompt that will appear (among other prompts) under their name on their profile page when it comes up. Even easier, you can click on the "Private Messages" heading at the top of your page, near the left hand side and follow the prompts from there. You can also just reply in the same thread if what you want to say is ok for the public thread. HTH

The "PM"(private message) is just that, the mods eavesdrop like the NSA

Had to go there.

To get to that window just long press the reply you wish to "PM" and a window will pop up with that as one choice.

There is a filter on all the FF sites. It blocks out most curse words so we can maintain a family friendly site without us having to babysit.
