best offline map for camping?

I just want something so I don't get lost while hiking or driving around the mountain..

Something like car matey but works offline where you can mark your start point and then have the compass show you the way back.

There's a program called NDrive where you buy and install map packs to your SD card so that 3G isn't needed, only the GPS. Not sure how good it is though.

Oruxmaps works real well and allows you to download maps (many types including real nice topographical maps) before you go.
