I was just curious to find out what is the best screen technology (LCD, amoled, etc.) To conserve battery life?

The best screen tech to save battery?

A smaller screen, normal lcd, not amoled or super amoled. Less resolution means the cpu doesnt use more battery to draw the screen, smaller screen size means it wont be using as much batt to light everything up, and anything more than standard lcd is going to use a lot more battery since it is brighter and more crisp.

in theory, OLED is supposed to use less battery than LCD simply because Black on an OLED screen isn't using any power because it is actually black...where as black on an LCD screen actually still gives off light (hence the reason you can see a black screen at night with LCD and cant with OLED)

however, the difference in battery life is pretty much a non-issue.

Don't know how true it is but amoled can be used to just one color. They showed an example of nexus1 just red and it saved battery. LCD needs the backlight on no matter what color is or isn't there.
