We had not seen a new build of Android from the Carbon Rom team in months until the other day when they released a surprise build for the Nexus 6. Yesterday they explained why. There have been some major changes that have taken place with Carbon Rom. There have been 2 ownership changes, and about 4 codebase changes. Many developers have left the team as well. All of this created the perfect storm to keep Carbon Rom out of the game for as long as it did.
The team has finally settled in, and they look to eventually bring back nightlies to as many devices as possible. They will begin by supporting any and all devices that the current developers have in hand starting with the Nexus 6. Eventually as growth continues there may be support for more devices. Until then the team will be releasing source so you can build the rom for your device on your own! The full announcement is linked below.
