Bixby was one of the main features announced at the Galaxy S8 unpacked event. Unfortunately the feature which was meant to compete with Google's assistant which is also featured on the Galaxy S8 was not ready at the launch of the Galaxy S8. All we really saw of Bixby was a screen with information cards. We are still waiting on Samsung's Bixby voice assistant which has been available in South Korea for some time now. It looks like Samsung has started to roll out the Bixby Vision feature to Verizon users. This feature can recognize text and identify objects and then give you options for buying whatever it is you are looking at. I have tested the feature and it seems to be working although it sometimes struggles with providing an exact model. Open up your camera app and try to use Bixby Vision to get the update.
