Howdy all. I'm not a big poster here but I am a big reader and I love this forum and hope someone can explain this.

Charged up the DROID to 100% yesterday and headed out to watch a few football games at the pub. Checked a few scores every now and then, and then about an hour later without touching it, I went to check something. Red light is flashing and battery life is at 5%.

Was getting ready to leave anyway, so I put the car charger on it and it comes up and says charge is 60%, and the icon shows about that.

Take it home and plug it in and four hours later, it is still at 60%. This morning, it is at 70%.

Turn the phone off and back on and it says CHARGED.

WTF??

It has been fine all day today with no problems. Anyone else had this issue?

Thanks in advance. I appreciate the knowledge on this forum.

No AV app installed, so I'm still mystified.

you install any other apps recently? or any apps had an update recently?

Actually, yes. During this period I installed SportsTapp becuz I had heard so much about it. When I saw the HUGE battery drain, I immediately uninstalled it. I had been checking scores with Live Scores. But the more I thought about it, I could not imagine that was the problem. Think so?

I use Sportstap on a daily basis since the first week i had my Droid and no problems. Whenever I really want to close it all i do is kill it with ATK.

I'm thinking it could be another app or even a faulty battery. When did you get your Droid?

I use ATK as well. The DROID came alive on November 27. No problems before or since. I know the display is the biggest battery drain, but there is no way it was on for an hour.

Is that sport app a "live update" app? Might have kept the data connection open and running until it was shut off (i.e. restart or something), just a thought.

I was haviing similar battery issues I deleted my ATK app cause I read several post sayingd its not needed to keep the software running well....however not killing apps kills battery! Re-downloaded it and battery power greatly improved..
