Bluetooth audio cutting out

So searching around the internet I realize this is a tired topic, but still haven't found a solution. Whenever I'm playing audio in my car over the bluetooth, it will intermittently cut out for a split second every so often and it's driving me nuts! Has anyone experienced this and have a fix? And yes, my wifi is off while bluetooth is on. My best guess it is some app or program running in the background but I don't know how to go about finding which one would be causing the interference.

You can lower the amount of processes that run in the background. Not all BT receivers are created equal. Does the BT cut out when playing local stored music?
