I am new to this forum. I got my Droid Pro to sync with my VW Jetta Sport Wagon (9W3-Skoda BT) and allowed phonebook access. The phone book transferred ok, but whenever I tried to dial by pressing a phonebook entry on the car's touch screen, the bluetooth connection would drop. I attempted every hack I could imagine and finally had to give up and send the Droid back because I was nearing the end of my 30 trial period.

I would like to try again, but I have to have a work around for this.

Any ideas on this one?

Is the firmware upgradable on the Skoda module?

My Droid Pro now works fine in my VW GTI with the Parrot 3000 and Quick Connect Products steering wheel phone button activation kit. I had to update the Parrot firmware to 5.24 however or it behaved similar to what you are describing.

Updating the car is not an option. The Blackberry and many other varieties work flawlessly with the system in the car. Someone suggested not allowing the car to have access to the contacts. They said the phone book would transfer anyway, but checking this option caused problems. When it was unchecked it worked fine. I can't test it as I no longer have the phone.
