Bluetooth poor connection

The bluetooth connection in my Prius is poor. Often too much background noise and drop-outs. Only way to use phone in car is to turn bluetooth off
 
I have an '08 Prius with built-in bluetooth. Never had a problem. Maybe your Droid is bad and needs to be replaced?
