bluetooth static

i got my DROID yesterday and am so far loving it. today i bought a BT Jabra headset and paired it up. Sometimes when ringing i get this really loud static coming through the earpiece almost like it lost connection but it only lasts a few seconds usually. any help would be greatly appreciated

I have the same issue. I am using the Jabra 2080 as well. Thought it was the headset so I went out and bought a Motorola. Same problems. I'm finding that the headset capability on this phone is virtually shot. Planning on taking the phone back to Verizon today......

I have this issue to an extent, there is alittle bit of background static, but not too much (most of the time), but the person talking still comes in 100% crystal clear.

I wish I had only a minor static problem

I ge loud static... can't even hear someone on the other end. This is becoming incredibly frustrating.

i figured it out. the 2080 kept disconnecting when a call was made or received. i took it back and got a Plantronics 925 and it works perfectly

I use both the Jabra 2080 and MotorolaHS850 and both have the same static problems can anyone recommend or start a thread with compatible Bluetooth headsets. thanks

The ONLY headset that I have found that works with my Droid is a Motorola... Purchased 3 headsets that didn't work. All had the same problem. Fonding FAR too many problems with this phone.

I have a fairly new Droid 2 (about 2 months ) that is paired with a Motorola Bluetooth. Up until yesterday, they worked pretty well, but then, suddenly, the Bluetooth voice for "Say a command" and "Did you say - - - ." became very weak with a lot of static. The voice when I connect and the voices of people I'm talking to are still crystal clear. My main problem is that, when I am in the car, I can't hear my options to "Did you say - - -" which necessitates taking out my phone and reading the display screen. I don't like to do that while driving.
