Bluetooth Voice Dialing Not Working

I have a DroidX and a plantronics voyager 520 bluetooth head set. I can not get voice dialing to work with it. When I push the "action button" on my headset nothing happens.

If I initiate voice dialing from the handset it works fine, but that's not the ideal solution.

I am running Android OS v 2.2.1 and from the reading I've been doing it sounds like this feature should be available in my phone. Yet I've never seen the screen that is displayed on this website:

Ahh, figured it out.

On the phone before my droid I could just "tap" the action button and the voice dial would start up. On my droid though (same bluetooth headset) I need to press and hold a bit longer before I get the voice dial prompt.

So, for those who care:
a short tap seems to force re-establish a bluetooth connection with the phone(if it was dropped for example)
an intermediate tap starts the voice dial feature
a long tap shuts off the bluetooth headset.
