BootLoader and 2.3.320 Release or anything at that

Ok I got my Droid X at then end of Oct. it came with 2.2 already on it and the bootloader was at 30.04 out of the box since I have had the phone I have come across some of what appears to be issue with the OS / Rom and have been thinking about either loading the 2.3.320 update or a custom rom but a little worried about having a brick on my desk. I still have my original Droid which was very easy in fixing because there was so much out there in regards to bootloops and the recovery was much easier from my reading since it was hacked.

Question if I try this update and something goes wrong can I flash the SBF file? I have both the recovery and the system SBF for the early release or am I SOL since the recovery really only seems to talk about the 30.03 BL? Thanks

if you flash 2.3.320, I believe there is only a system SBF that TBH released. So I think if you do screw up, you will have to wait for a complete SBF from TBH.

Actually tbh has 2 different sbf file out...one is the system sbf and the other is for the recovery partition. If the first sbf bootloops u and can't get into recovery than you would use the recovery sbf which will allow u to get into recovery, wipe and do a factory reset which will get your phone back to a working condition

ok so I should be ok as long as I have both these files which I do, and the bootloader being 30.04 shouldnt be a issue

2.3.320 doesn't work (well) and is for the newer OS release.
