Bootloop all of a sudden

I have been running a stock 2.1 rom, rooted with a P3Droid kernel, OC'ed to 1000 for the last 30 days or so without so much as a hiccup. All of a sudden today I started having the endless bootloops and can not figure out what has caused this. I've changed nothing other than normal application updates through the market. No new tweaks, nothing on my end. Trying to even remember what my software updates were from yesterday and today. Any thoughts on what is causing this, or what applications update may be a factor. I had the boot loop problem with DroidMod, and this was one of the reasons I went back to the stock 2.1 rom.

I also have the lose headset jack, so I'm probably due for a replacement, but still curious as to what caused this to start all of a sudden, given the fact that I've had zero stability issues since I went to the stock 2.1 rom.

Thanks for any ideas.
