Boots, but frozen screen! need to recover attachments!

Here is my problem, my friend would like me to get all of his information off of this droid, but the digitizer won't work, and sometimes the screen freezes, all i can do at this point is boot up and thats it, sometimes the screen will freeze, and sometimes it won't, does anyone have a solution for me? all I'm concerned about is getting the pictures from the texts.
