Bootstrap and New Phone - Help

Hello all, first thread here but have been browsing for the past few months.

I have a D2 and recently rooted to the liberty ROM. The slide-out qwerty keyboard had stopped working before I rooted it. I took it in to Verizon after I finally got annoyed with it and they sent me a replacement.

My question is how do I backup contacts and stuff and transfer to new phone?
I have the D2 Bootstrapper installed on old phone.

I do plan on rooting my new phone once all is up and running.

your contacts are stored with your google account. For apps and whatnot, titanium backup works well for many of us.
