Welcome to DF, nodroid! Hmmm, never thought of that.... but yeah, he sort of could by using a cloning app or whatever they are. Highly doubtful though. Was the phone already activated and set up when he gave it to you or did you activate it yourself? I would suppose if you activated it yourself then he didn't clone it. He could also track your general location by looking on the details of the phone bill and seeing the location of the towers your phone calls are made from but does he really want to go through that trouble? Makes you sort of wonder whether getting a phone from your employer is worth it. I suppose you want to make sure you only use it for what he decides is permissable.
yes .he gave it to me activated . insisted i had it even tho i had no problem using my personal phone . just kinda figured it would be no problem having gps on a company phone acct (verizon) he bought about 10 of them for employees. thanks for answering
When I worked at the city here and added their exchange server to my BB at the time, even though that was my personal phone just because I was using their email they could read any of my texts, emails, and what not.
Quickly told them if they want me to respond by email on my phone they can give me a separate one and stopped using my personal one for it.
Like Tis said, it is kind of hard to tell what he might of done to the phone before giving it to you, there is spyware he could install that wouldn't even show up as installed on your end.
There are several apps that can track location, as well as texts- both incoming and outgoing, websites visited as well as what apps you are downloading. Some even allow the mic to be turned on remotely without the knowledge of the one with the phone. Be careful and like stated above, keep it clean.
thanks guys. ya must be somthing they dont want me to shut off .they set a pin#on{ backup assistant+media } and { backup assistant+contacts}. in the settings menu.if that makes any sense
