Buying from craigslist?

I have a couple of prospects on craigslist, both say brand new? I asked if they were factory new or refurbished "like" new? They both claim factory new never used. My question is how do I know for sure that it us not a insurance replacement "like" new phone? Thanks

Make sure the IMEI number on the phone and box match.
