buying games and apps

I know this is a dumb question but can you buy a game with a debit card? The only option was credit and I just wanted to make sure debit would work before I tried it out. Thanks.

So a mastercard debit card won't work? I got an email saying beautiful widgets couldn't be bought 1)maybe cause not enough funds or2) put on hold to protect fraud and when I go in the market and click on beautiful widgets it says authorizing where the download status is

mastercard debit works. thats what i use.

when you check out, it shows all the companies that they support, its basically everything
