Calendar Recurrences

I was trying to put my work schedule into my new Droid Razr Max. This is my first droid so I am not completely familiar with it as I have always had blackberrys before. Anyway, some of my work dates recur every 2 weeks but I cant seem to get it set to repeat every 2 weeks, it gives me the options of does not repeat, repeats daily, every weekday (mon-fri), weekly (every tuesday) monthly (every first tues), (monthy on day 6) or yearly. Is there any way to get it to repeat bi-weekly?

Interesting. I haven't had the need for a bi-weekly recurring appointment so I didn't know it was not an option. To work around this, I was able to create two duplicate events set two weeks apart and set them to repeat monthly on the same day of each month, making repeating quasi bi-monthly appointments but that doesn't address the problem completely, since there's 26 bi-weekly periods.

The stock Calendar app leaves a lot to be desired. If you use Google Calendar you can create the event online (using your pc's web browser) and select Repeat Daily with a 'Repeats Every' of 14 days. It will show in the phone's Calendar app correctly then, but I don't see the 'Repeats Every' option in the phone Calendar app when you're creating an event. If you want to create it using your phone's Calendar app I'm afraid you may need to create two events and have each repeat weekly.

I use Jorte for my Calendar app (which syncs with my Google Calendar) and it allows me to enter every two week events using the repeat daily with Intervals of 14 days between events. Jorte also has nicer widgets for your home screen too.

Felix, I noticed today that Business Calendar is on sale for $0.49 and says it can has "many options for recurrent events (e.g. to add a recurrent event that takes place every other week on Tuesday and Thursday)" I downloaded it and don't see that in recurrence options but when I get some time am going to look over their website to see if it tells you how. Since that's what you wanted to do, and I'm not sure how long the sale is, I thought I'd let you know.

I found out once you select an option, like Weekly, you then get more options like every 1 week or 2, 3, etc.

Looks like a very nice application. I think I'll switch to it.

Ok I will definitely have to check it out because ive already gone a week without having my schedule with me and its been quite a pain. Thanks again.

Jeez SallyS, keep this up and we'll have to put you on the (non-existing) payroll!

Great find and forensic analysis!

They also have a free version of the business calendar app that will allow me to set the recurrences I need. Thought I would mention it.
