camera button doesn't work in recovery

I have sbf'd my Droid X back to stock. Everything seemed to go ok, but after it was completed and I booted into system recovery without a problem, my volume buttons worked to move from item to item, but the camera button would not select anything. Therefore, I couldn't wipe data or cache. I have been working on this and searching for a solution most of the day and am giving up. The camera button works fine to take pictures. Can you help? Thanks
