Camera keeps crashimg

I've got.a droid x 2.2 and the camera app keeps crashing. I've tried a factory reset and rebooting with no effect. Any ideas?

Sounds like you have a corrupted file/filesystem on your sd card. The Factory Data Reset doesn't touch your sd card, so you will have to back up your card to your computer, format the card in your phone, then move the essential files and folders back to your phone in small groups till you find a bad file, or you have moved everything back.

If you have a spare micro sd card, you can test this out by putting the spare in your device. If the camera app can be opened without crashing, then you know the original card is corrupted.

I had that happen once. In the future, plug the phone in to your PC, and use your PC's browser to find the file that is corrupted. It will be the one that the thumbnail is messed up usually. Delete it and you should be fine.
