Camera settings issue

I have searched these forums and google and I find nothing on this.

I have the Droid 1 froyo 2.2 it's not rooted nothing special on it for the most part but the camera all of a sudden won't let me change the settings. It will take pictures fine and if I switch to camcorder everything works like normal it's just in camera mode I can't change anything like turn the flash off.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
