Camera Touch Focus and Exposure?

So when my friend was first showing me his iPhone's camera, which was taking decent photos, I said, "it would be cool if you could touch the part of the screen you want to focus on"... then he tapped the screen and the lighting and focus were adjusted. This takes so much hassle out of taking a proper photo, but from what I have read the Droid just does the standard crappy autofocus. Oh it focused on that, let me move the camera and try again, oops still not right... ugh I just want a quick photo. Is this a planned feature?

Touch focus would be nice.
