Can a camera be mounted as external drive?

As the title asks, is it possible to mount a digital camera as a drive on the droid? For instance, if I had my Canon Powershot and the proper mini to micro USB cable to hook it up to my Droid, would I be able to download the pics to my droid and then upload them to picasa from there?

I'd test this myself but don't have the proper cable!

If an app is needed to mount or browse the camera, anyone know what that app would be?
