Can Google Assistant voice prompt when ok Google by silent

Are you asking if you can turn off the Google Now / Google Assistant prompt when you trigger the functionality using your launch phrase? I think that's what you are asking, but the thread title is confusing. [emoji15]

If that is what you are asking the Google Now / Assistant volume is controlled by your phones Media volume setting, it's tied together with "Media" volume. There are Play Store apps that claim to give you separate control of Assistant's volume separately from Media. I don't know if they work well, or cause issues, as I have never tried them; I just saw them when doing an Internet search for Google Assistant volume settings. Good luck. [emoji106][emoji3]

I think he is asking how to change the volume of the Google Assistant voice response prompts after you launch Assistant? I think? [emoji15]

If that's what he is asking, it's not so confusing since the question has been answered. If the original question is something different....then maybe still confusing. I love this Forum. [emoji15]

I don't want the volume lower just that when it activated it drones on too long it would be better if it was brief or just did a beep like on voice search on older phones.

Are there options to customize

After a while it automatically became silent and only displayed text "How can I help". It would nice if it could be customized like "Hi Name, how can I help". It must do the welcome message a few times out load when 1st activated and then stops interesting[emoji848]

I don't believe so, custom launch phrase is either activated or it's not.

Personally, I don't find it to be terribley annoying.

Scroll up to where it says

my fault, I forgot the reply box has memory. that first line about volume was an earlier post I decided not to submit because it was a mistake. I did not see it when I replied about being stuck.

What just happened? What are we talking about now?
