Can I filter emails from gmail to my phone?

The real question is, do all emails come to the phone in IMAP or are they "forwarded" to the phone like BlackBerrys? I want to be able to set filters so that certain senders, subject lines, etc. are not coming to my phone.

Is this possible?

There's no BIS equivalent in the BB world, therefore there's no equivalent to the BIS filters.

However, if you look in the gmail settings, there's an option that allows you to select which labels are synced.
