Can I put my atrix hd on prepaid?

I gave my dad an atrix hd and he went to at&t to have it activated on his go phone line. They told him they were unable to activate it as a prepaid due to the fact that it is an lte-only device. I know that that isn't true because at&t barely had lte coverage when the hd came out, bit can you put the atrix hd on a prepaid line with working data?

I'd say they're confused. I haven't seen a single device that is 4G only unless I'm just entirely out of the loop.

That's what I said. So theoretically is should be able to put this on a go phone sim and ne limited to hspa+, right?
