Can I restore to stock from ICS from restoring a backup?

I know when I was on moto I would have to SBF I did a version change. I did a Nand backup just now and I want to flash Scott's clean rom for ICS leak. I want to be able to go back if I encounter problems. I see I can flash back the stock firmware but I was wondering if recovering my backup would work as well.

As far as I know you can go back to stock GB after the leak but it's not easy at all. Your best bet for this would be to not RUU the ICS leak and use the GB firmware patch Scott provides for the ROM. Then you can at least RUU back to GB if need be.

**GB = Gingerbread
**RUU = Rom Update Utility (like the Motorola SBF)
**ICS = Ice Cream Sandwich
