Can I root just for OC'ing?

Got my phone in September and im still all stock. I love the way my phone looks now and dont want to change the look, i just want to be able to over clock it. Can this be done and still keep the stock look?

yes... With droidmod, because people been wanting dif themes, the dev made it where you root with droidmod but you add your own themes through metamorph.

You can also flash the CyanogenMod ROM....much faster right now than DroidMod, at least until the next DroidMod ROM comes out, it has been a while...and the CyanogenMod ROM is the new 2.1 build, and very smooth
