I have a Macbook Pro and am looking into getting the droid x... i have heard that it (along with the other android phones) isn't able to be synced with a mac as far as syncing media.. Does anybody have this problem or has found an app to download to make it compatible? Please give me as much input as possible!

I have a mac and use salling media sync to get music from my itunes onto my phone..there is a free version that has a slower transfer rate. I made a playlist called droid and dumped all the music I wanted on my phone into that playlist. When I plug my phone in salling recognizes it and gives options for syncing playlists from itunes, folders from iphoto, and videos. I check the droid playlist I created, hit sync and load up.

thanks! is there one you pay for that is quicker?

Yes..the free version resyncs everysong in the playlist everytime..the free version just looks for changes in the playlist. So if you have 1000 songs and add one the free version will resync all 1001 tracks while the paid version will just sync one. If you have a lot of songs it could mean a 30 second sync oppsed to a 25minute one.

What you probably actually heard was that they couldn't sync with iTunes. That's true out of the box but that doesn't mean that there aren't options, such as the one posted above. I'm fairly certain there are other sync solutions but I don't have a complete list off the top of my head (don't forget the search function).
