can volume switch be reversed?

Dose any one know of a way to have the volume switch change while in landscape? Basicly the only thing that annoys me about the droid is when i hod my it side ways and wish to increse the volume i have to push it to the left witch makes the bar on the screen go right! You think id learn by know but i really would like this to change.

In theory yes.. it can be done.
Question is, can it be done via an app (and will a developer write said app?) or does it need to be hard coded into the kernel?

lol...i posted this before...but yea. i think by the 2nd or 3rd time i went the wrong way i ingrained it into my brain to do the opposite...

i don't get what's so hard about it...

the up direction has less phone side by is so just feel for the power button. the down button faces more towards the "chin" of the phone.

nothing hard to get,just thought it would be nice,some people like a big clock widget,me id like my volume switch to reverse, i don't droid dose
