Can you create folders for Gallery?

I looked all over and also tried to explore the file system with OI file manager but I cannot understand how Gallery organizes folders. I'd like to be able to create my own and move pictures around between them.

I would suggest doing it with something other than Gallery, like Quickpic.What you see in Gallery is only cached images not the real files. Quickpic will allow you to create and manage the real thing.
