can you download zip files on the droid?

i was checking that "droid failure" thread and noticed the poster (read: troll) said the droid couldnt save anything except jpgs. Some responses said that the droid CAN save other files. My question is this:

how?

I have nesoid, gameboid, etc, and you can download roms from websites that are zips... so how can i save a zip file on my droid, so i can download a game on the fly?

Astro will alllow you to extract the zip

Crutch allows you to download other types of files.

For emulators like Nesoid or Snesoid I don't think you even need to extract the zips...you just click on them and it shows the rom.
