Cannot silence the dial pad during a call

I can silence the dial pad using the settings (settings -> Sound & display), but the dial pad can still be heard while making a call.

Here's an illustration: When I dial a number there is no sound when pressing the dial pad to make the initial call, but during the call if I need to dial numbers (for example when in a phone menu) then I can hear the dial pad.

I have not been able to figure out how to silence the dial pad completely.

Has anyone had this problem? Are there any suggestions to follow?

David

the presence of a tone when pressing the dial pad is how phone systems recognize the numbers that you are dialing. phones in which you press the buttons and you can't hear them are muting the earpiece.

every phone is required to transmit the specific tone related to each button.

Yes, DTMF (or DP) is a necessity for for POTS.
